Evyn dropped the last of her boxes into her room, symbolically (and maybe a little exaggeratedly/dumbly) brushing off her shoulders, before digging her laptop out of her suitcase and sitting on one of the steps outside her apartment to turn it on, opening up a rather intimidating looking Microsoft Excel document for some Economics class she'd been tricked into taking- She was quickly realizing just because she occasionally got to use a computer, that didn't at all make it easy. However, it would look good that she'd taken the class and she could still pass it, regardless. She pulled up her iTunes in the background, putting some Sufjan Stevens song on somewhat softly. She didn't really know why she wasn't in her apartment to do this, but she sort of liked the openness of working outside.

Carter couldn’t help but grin at her as a small pink flush spread over her light cheeks. “Scarlett…Scar, I like it” he said rubbing his chin a bit as if thinking, “I’m Carter” he said dropping her hand. “Yeah I really love this song, and the Killers” he said “Mr.Brightside is good too ever heard of it” he said leaning against the counter casually.
Wren couldn’t help but smile and let out a soft laugh as Marcus kept talking, something about the way he talked was so…well charming. “I understand, Gale isn’t exactly ecstatic to be here either” she sad looking down at him as he made a scowl. As he talked she couldn’t help but continue her ‘nervous around guys habits’ which meant tugging on her ponytail, biting her nails, rubbing her ankles together. “No, I totally understand, I would hate to have a job I didn’t like, being a vet has always been my passion ever since I was a little girl…I guess I’m just lucky” she said smiling down at the floor. She was amazed this guy hadn’t run for the hills yet, most guys by now would be totally bored.

"Thanks," Scarlett said feeling the flush in her cheeks not going away and turned to the kitchen to get the oreos out. "Of course I've heard it, The Killers are like my second favorite band ever. Since no one can really top the Beatles," She told him as she finally found them in a random cabinet and shrugged. "Want one?" Scar offered reffering to the oreos as she took a small bite of one.

Marcus nods. "It's always nice to see people doing what they actually want to do. I see too many people these days majoring in something they hate just because they think they'll make more money and be happier that way, but what good is life if you can't stand what you do on a daily basis?" He says, feeling a little weird that it wasn't exactly small talk anymore. "I'm a history major, and I want to be a teacher." He says. "Probably middle school. I'm not the best with really little kids, and high school kids kind of scare me so I think it just works the best." He gives a non-committal sort of shrug.

Carter grinned, he could tell he was going to get along with this girl great, or maybe even better then great. “No way, I’m totally in love the Beatles too… Hey Jude, Here comes the Sun, best songs ever” he said. He watched her reach into the cabinet and grabbed a bag of Oreos. He couldn’t help but chuckle “I love Oreos too…I have a feeling we have a lot in common” he said taking one and opening it to eat the filling.
“No, I totally understand and…well I think that’s really great that you’re following your dreams and all.” she said feeling herself flush a bit, so she looked down at the floor. She had never had such a deep conversation with someone in, well who knows how long. “I should uh, probably go, I still need to Gale proof my apartment if I don’t want him to keep getting out all the time, it was really nice talking to you Marcus” she said looking back up from her feet.

Scarlett swalloed the bite of oreo and smiled her eyes lighting up. "Hey Jude has to be the most amazing song they ever made, I'm in love with it," She said smiling. Scar never had a lot in common with anyone and now already three things with a not so complete stranger it felt great knowing she wasn't going to be the weird artistic girl here. Scarlett had a feeling that she was going to love it here. "So Carter, are you in college? Working? What?" She asked curiously as she took put the rest of the oreo in her mouth and chewed.

Carter couldn't help the dumb grin he had plastered on his face as Scarlett talked. "I totally agree" he said after she said Hey Jude was her favorite song, it totally was. Well, lets see" he said rubbing his hand through his brown hair "I'm taking some community college classes right now and currently working at Abercrombie" he said chuckling, now she was going to think he was a total tool.

Scarlett noticed his little grin on his face, it was prettty cute and really just made her want to learn more about him. She nodded a long as he explained his classes and all of a sudden worked at Abercrombie she raised an eyebrow. Oh god, if this another conceided prep boy.... She thought to herself since those are the types she's always known. "That's intresting," She said a bit confused. "What are you studying for?" Scarlett asked trying to focus on a different subject.
