Wren: Your typical nerdy 17 year old girl, Wren is shy sweet and extremly smart. Wren always had her head stuck in a book of some sorts, and is constantly studying. Wren gets picked on a lot and doesn’t have much self confidence or many friends. She is on the tennis team, science club, math club, and debate team. She talks a lot, is always nervous, and falls easy since she is a hopeless romantic. Wren also loves taking pictures, you can always find her attached to her old camera taking photos of everything. She get’s jealous of Kelsey sometimes because she is so pretty, but they are still best friends.

Gale: Gale is your typical football junkie, tool, jock, whatever else you call him. Although many people thinks he’s just another dumb jock, underneath it all he’s a really sweet guy. He actually has a brain, which many people don’t know, and doesn’t love sports a much as his father pushes him into them. He wants to find a girl that doesn’t just want to use him to become more popular and he’s sick of being hurt. He is super romantic when you get to know him and a true gentlemen.

Scene 1: 

You awaken, it's time to figure out what you're wearing and who you're carpooling with. Don't forget your notebooks, and pencils people. And please, leave the drama at home with your mama. School starts at 8:15. It's now 6:50. 

Wren groaned pulling her pillow over her head as her alarm clock blared a loud siren noise. She rolled out of bed and took a shower, putting her wet blonde hair into a messy ponytail. She put on a swipe of mascara, foundation, and vanilla chap stick before placing on her thick black rimmed glasses. Wren threw on a gray and white striped cardigan, old jeans, red vans and grabbed her keys and backpack. She ran downstairs just as her pop tarts popped out of the toaster. “Come on Gale let’s go, we’re gonna be late!” she yelled up the stairs. She looked down at her phone when it buzzed in her pocket and texted back: Nope(:  I'm driving Gale today, blech.

Gale rolled out of bed when he heard his sister get in the shower. He threw on a light blue v neck t shirt, his school letterman’s jacket, and some distressed jeans with Nike’s before ruffling his brown hair in the mirror. He brushed his white teeth and sprayed some cologne before his sister was yelling at him to hurry up. He came down the stairs a few minutes later “Sorry I’m late Mrs.Perfect” he said rolling his eyes at her as he opened the door and they headed out to the red truck they shared.

Kelsey stepped out of her shower, she grabbed her towel and wrapped herself in it. Stepping into her slippers, she walked to her closet. She already had an outfit set out. She slipped into everything, her leather jacket clinging nicely to her body. Her skinny jeans tucked into her short black combat boots. She tied her hair into a neat fishtail to the side. When she was finished, she glided down the stairs and grabbed her Blackberry, gripping it tightly as she grabbed her car keys and an orange. She texted Wren sliently as Camren got ready. 

Wren, do you need a ride today? She watched the check mark appear as it sent succesfully.

Camren was walking down the stairs, a peice of his hair dangled in front of his eye. Kelsey smiled up at him and he returned it polietly. He grabbed the health bar that she threw at him, "You ready, Kels?" he spoke determined. She nodded and he followed her out to her old BMW. He turned on oldies music and chewed on his bottom lip.

Wren hit the gas of her and Gale’s red pickup, speeding all the way to the school. She was a perfectionist and could not be late, especially since she wanted to go talk to Kel about what classes they had before they had to go to them. She glided into a parking space and rolled her eyes at Gale who was checking out his hair in the rearview mirror. “See you later pretty boy” she said hoping out of the truck her backpack slung over one shoulder. She made her way to her locker sorting her load of AP books into it.

Gale rolled his eyes at his sister and after she left headed into the school. He had his gym bag and backpack over both shoulders. He smiled at girls as he walked down the halls when Amelia came and draped her arms over him. Her petite body slipped into his perfectly even in her 5 inch heels. Her black hair was curled. “Hey cutie” she said smiling and giggling “I missed you all summer” she said smiling. Gale plastered on a smile “Me too” he said opening his locker.

(Amelia is going to the be the girl who wants to be Homecoming Queen/make Kelsey jealous)

Kelsey smiled as she parked steadily into her favorite spot, right under the willow tree. She turned the ignition and stepped out, her combat boots clicking as she landed. She put the strap of her satchel over her shoulder. She sighed, walking up the steps to her school. She spotted Wren and walked to her, "WREN!" she yelled smiling widely. 

Camren sighed, he hated school. He followed his sister, but went to his first class, taking a seat in the back. 

"Hey Kel!" Wren said opening her arms before wrapping her friend in a big hug. Although she had spent every waking moment with her over the summer she couldn't help but miss her the past few days before school. "Cute boots" she said looking down at them "What's your scedule like" she said going back to organizing her locker.

"Well umm, I guess I better go, see you at lunch Gale-y-poo" she said sauntering off in her heels and designer dress. Gale sighed, he had to admit that Amelia was pretty, but he knew exactlt what she wanted, she wanted to be homecoming queen, that's the only thing girls ever wanted him for it seemed like. He closed his locker and started heading to his class when he saw Wren and Kelsey. "Hey guys" he said heading over to them.

"Thanks, Wren. You look very put-together today." Kelsey went over her schedule with Wren, ".. And then my last class is AP Chemistry." she said, raising an eyebrow. "Please, tell me we have classes together." Kelsey glanced inside Wren's locker and sighed, she was always so organized. Kelsey was always the rebel, ever since they first met. Wren eased into things, and Kelsey jumped straight in. Especially with guys.

Camren looked around, his spot in the back of the class was an added plus but he didn't see anybody he knew yet. He was beginning to get desperate, hoping that possibly Kelsey of all people was in this class. Or even her best friend, Wren. He shook his head. 

“What are you doing here Gale” Wren said rolling her eyes, but she could see that he clearly wasn’t interested in her but her friend. Gross, she thought to herself. “Sadly…we only have AP Chem, but that’s okay because we have lunch together” she said smiling sadly “Hey, look I really need to get to class okay, see you at lunch” she said hugging her friend quickly before heading to her AP History class. She spotted Camren immediately and took a seat near him. “Hey Cam” she said shyly getting out her things.

Gale grinned “Just wanted to talk to my sister and her friend” he said laughing, him and his sister were always arguing. He saw her walk away and turned his attention back at Kelsey, “Lucky me I have the first two periods with you” he said leaning against the lockers casually, his voice coming out playful.

Kelsey smiled at Gale polietly, she looked back at Wren "I'll see you then, Wren." she made a sad face. She layed a hand on ther back of her neck, and glanced at Gale. "Lucky you," she said with a sly smile. She raised her eyebrow, "Guess we should start getting to our classes." She started walking, not waiting for him she glanced back over her shoulder as if to say 'come on,' 

Camren was about to take out his book and wait before class started to occupy himself, when he saw Wren walk in. A small smile spreading on his face as she sat down in front of him. "Hey, Wren." he said softly. He wasn't good at expressing feelings. He fingers traced the lines that someone had scribbled into the desk, he glanced at her letting his eyes trace her blue eyes and her sleek blonde hair. He breathed out of his nose, she was so different but yet the same. 

Wren bit her lip and turned around in her seat to look at Cameron, she couldn’t believe how much he had changed over the summer, he looked well….older in a way. “It’s so weird that I was at your house almost ever day of the summer but I never really saw you, how was your summer by the way” she said nervously tugging on her blonde ponytail, one of her many bad habits.

Yes, very lucky me, he thought to himself. “Guess we should” he said taking a few big strides to catch up with Kelsey so that they walked side by side. “Excited to be back at school” he said looking over at her chuckling a bit, he didn’t think she was but he asked anyways.

Camren shrugged, "It wasn't anything special, i read a lot." he blushed lightly. He didn't like talking about himself. He looked away. "How was yours?"

Kelsey smiled as he caught up with her, she glanced at his broad shoulders, smiling. "So, how are you Gale?" she said, flirtasiously. Bumping into him.

“Mine was okay, I uhm read a lot too, hung out with Kelsey you know some other stuff” she said feeling like a complete and total idiot, she internally smacked herself for sounding so lame. “So uh…” she said biting her lip, another nervous habit “Debate team meets tomorrow right?” she said

Gale smiled over at Kelsey as she lightly bumped into him, “Doing good actually” he said playfully reaching out to her shoulder to try and steady her. His hand brushed her shoulder and then as he rested his arm again lightly traveled down her arm, he was good as teasing, always was.

Camren smiled at her, she seemed just as nervous as he was. He smiled, "I don't mean to be forward or anything, but if you're not doing anything after the debate meeting maybe i could take you out for some coffee." he shrugged, hesitant about her answer. 

Kelsey smiled, "Do you want to come over after school?" she said, as they sat down in class. She looked at him intently, she listened as intently as she could at class too. She had good grades, but she still like to party. And to be brutally honest, Kelsey could be a slut. She doesn't have many cares in the world, and that gets her into trouble.
